What if it rains at the tennis camp?

rainIn the case of light rain, drizzle or showers which are on and off, the camp will always go ahead as planned. We’ll take shelter when the rain is too heavy and get back on court as soon as possible.

There are some things we can do – for instance, younger children can play in the squash courts (if available), older children can play table tennis and we have some games which we can do inside.

However, if the rain is heavy and non-stop, we may call you to give you the option of picking up your child. If this happens, you can book another day of camp to make it up.

I know that there are some cases where parents are working and unable to pick up children. In these cases we will, of course, look after your child until you can pick them up.

If you would prefer your child not to come in wet weather, it is usually fine to cancel by text and do another day of camp – providing that it is genuinely bad weather.

  • Thursdays we do not have use of the clubhouse so rain is more of a problem as we don’t have many places to take shelter. There is more chance of us needing to cancel if the weather is very bad.
  • The 10-11am session for under 5s may not go ahead in bad weather. Please text me on 07976 547239 to check.

Hopefully this answers most of your questions about bad weather. If you have any questions or comments, please contact me
